Versus is a PvP mode consisting of different game-types. These game-types are:
There are currently three distinct queues for versus matches:
- Quick match.
- Bot match (the above modes with AI enemies instead of players).
- Mini Match (3v3)
In Capture, the players have to capture points in order to gain points. The more points captured, the faster points are obtained. Furthermore, players begin at level 3, start off with 500 shards, and can kill varelsi to gain experience points for their entire team. First team to reach 1000 points wins.
There are three maps for this mode: Outback, Temples, and Snowblind.
In Meltdown, the players will have to guide minions to grinders as a sacrifice to MINREC, a Magnus AI who will presumably destroy the losing team. To help ensure victory, players can build turrets to help defend lanes or elite bots for a chance at earning more points. Upon reaching 200 points, the location of the grinders will move. First team to reach 400 points will trigger the finale, spawning in two elite bots. If they are destroyed, both teams will have elite bots that spawn in. The team whose elite bot makes it into the grinder wins.
There are three maps for this mode: Paradise, Coldsnap, and Outskirts.
In Incursion, the players have to destroy the enemy’s sentries to achieve victory. In order to assist with this, they will have to guide minions to the sentry while destroying the enemy’s minions. To further improve their chances of victory, players can build turrets, supply stations, and elite bots as well as hire thrall mercenaries.
There are three maps for this mode: Overgrowth, Echelon, and Monuments.
In Face-Off, the players have to defeat varelsi and claim their masks to turn in at a repository located at the center of the map. They can also build structures to assist in making the varelsi respawn faster as well as summon headhunter bots to harass the enemy team. The first team to 500 points wins the game.
