Battleborn takes the over-the-top, shooter-meets-RPG formula perfected by developer Gearbox with Borderlands and introduces new features borrowed from MOBAs: tons of characters, in-match leveling, creeps, and more. If you've never played a MOBA, it can be daunting.

Modes
Battleborn's cooperative story mode is structured like a TV show: eight episodes (plus a prologue) comprise the first "season" at launch. Each episode tells a self-contained story.
Capture is the most familiar PvP mode for shooter fans: get your team to a point, capture it, then hold it. Whichever team held points the longest wins.
In Incursion, your goal is to guide your minion bots to destroy two enemy Sentry Bots, while preventing the opposing team from doing the same.
In Meltdown, you're again guiding minion bots, but this time you're feeding them into giant grinders. The more minions you grind up, the more points your team gets.
